No more snow here....just freezing temperatures and icy roads.

It's been snowing here since rush hour...we're supposed to get 3-5 inches by tomorrow morning.

Southern California had bright and sunny today; shirtsleeve weather in the PM, jackets after dark.

(Why we like it here. We want more rain though, it being the season for it and all.)

One wily local councillor has been round to all the OAP bungalows (Grandad lives in one so we know) asking if tere was anything they needed and offering his card for the future. Raj Khan is our Lib Dem councillor and a well known face at this house.

Now Grandad has us, and we've also checked on his neighbours, but what a good piece of PR. Grandad was most impressed and went on about it to Mum. Which made her a bit grumpy - he's always more impressed by people who do things occasionally than by what she does every day. Also it's the party that she (we) deliver leaflets/ newsletters for, and Grandad has never shown any interest before, "Just stick it in the bin, gel."

Well done to them I say. They are certainly the most visible of all the parties in this town. Shame they can't win at anything other than local level.

I don't like having to ration my cups of tea. Anything else, fine, but not tea.
We are of a like kidney (I've always wanted to use that phrase) on the subject of tea.

Even if the country had been reduced to a radioactive wasteland, my first job would be to put the kettle on

Damned straight!

Though, i also have a penchant for coffee. First drink of the day is coffee. Most of the rest of the day is alternating tea and coffee. But...if I want a coffee and there isn't any, I can live with that. If I want a tea and there's no tea, I will go into a complete tantrum.

It's a beautiful picture. Scotland looks amazing. Like filigree lace at the edges.

There's a huge version here, from NASA's MODIS page.
