wine and cheese. stuff for entertaining. dinner parties stuff.

also clothes.

I buy stuff for the boys and my husband too. They don't really seem to care much though. most of the time they just say thanks mum/sweetheart then go their own way.

One of my co-workers said, "I don't spend much on alcohol, probably less than $500 per year," and I thought $500 a year! that's a lot -- until I started adding it up and realized we probably spend about $350 on alcohol every month. I had never added it up before. It seems like a lot.

I'm sure that a lot of people spend considerably more.

Unless it's wine, it's not worth the money!

A good bottle of tequila is $60, which is why I've been switching to bourbon.

Your ratio of books/CDs to alcohol is: ______

This reminds me of a scene in one of my favorite SF series (Vorkosigan); where our heroes are checking out a suspect's financial records.

And it's only going to go up, with the poor cactus crops in the future.

Good thing I cut out tequila a couple years ago. I do love me some Cuervo Gold.

I don't buy as many CD's or movies as I used to, but I still buy tons of new books. I'd say about 5-10 a month. But, many of them are used.

I'm using the library more these days and investing the difference in scotch.

I go through spurts on CDs/online music--I've spent $50 on music in the past week, along with upcoming purchases of Recoil, Ministry, the Smashing Pumpkins and Depeche Mode.

I buy DVDs sporadically...my library is starting to grow, though.

Books...ha! I'm just not much of a reader, so I rarely buy them.

I probably spend too much money on food products--not as much as I used to, but still more than I should. At least I buy a variety of both good and shitty stuff.

Wolf, I was just talking about your love of QVC to April the other day...we both had a good chuckle.
