According to the Mirror.co.UK , British football fans are drinking so much beer the Germans are running out.

mmmm.... the Mirror is not generally regarded, in the UK, as a prime example of verisimilitude.... however, I do take your pint ^h^h^hoint.... English soccer fans are quite partial to a bevy or two...three..four....et al

actually, be-pop, I was going to mention that the 'Brits' doing the drinking were for the most part sassenachs.....
I am given to believe that there is a rule against allowing all 4 home nations in the same world cup for this very reason.... the breweries and distillers simply could not cope.
