Letterman peeved with McCain

Noting that McCain wanted to postpone Friday's first debate with Barack Obama, Letterman said running mate Sarah Palin wanted to put off her debate with Democrat Joe Biden until after Election Day.

Letterman said McCain taking Palin to meet world leaders at the United Nations was like "take-your-daughter-to-work day."

Letterman has been on a roll the past couple nights, since McCain blew him off (he said he needed to get on a plane back to DC right away, the economy is "cratering" then proceeded to talk to Couric instead and left on a plane the next a.m.)

And, as Letterman implied: even if that were true, couldn't Sarah Plain step in? Isn't that the VP's JOB?

Craig Ferguson has been pretty funny, too!

Well, here's the picture McCain wanted in the paper today to show that he's decisively handling the problem in meetings in Washington. At least, this is the one the Washington Post decided to run. Is McCain even there?

See Boehner over there by Pelosi? My older brother's buddy (brother's job has him at the State House a lot...he loves him some JB.) I have pics of both my brothers in DC with the JB.

I've waited on The Boner at some Country Club parties, years ago. You could still smoke inside: that man chain smokes and drinks Old Fashioneds. He might still, but this was some years ago.

The richies in town treated him like a god. I was like "eh, whatever."

PS @ glatt: that's McCain over there on the other side of Boehner, isn't it?
