no, really: it's out to get you

i've been losing people since Jan. 1 (well, technically, I lost my cat, Harry, on Jan. 1st when he had a stroke right in front of me and we put him down) but since then five people I've known bought the farm - and not in the good way. All of them freaky weird deaths come waaaaaaaaaay too early.

Then the suicide of Nicholas Hughes.

NOW, my son's good friend (and bass player for the band) is in the hospital with some sort of brain tumor - oh, yes, and tumors on his spine as well.

I am really wondering. I mean, this kid is sixteen!

I feel so helpless and ....

just, wow. The family must be in shock...

No doubt. When a child has something like that it just seems even worse than an adult.

I hope there is some sort of positive outcome for your friend Bri. They must be doing it tough. I know you'll be a great support and inspiration to them.

There was a year when I was in high school when something like 5 or 6 people committed suicide/tried to commit suicide. That and something like 3 or 4 people got into fatal car accidents.

We were all really freaked out, like..."shit dude, who's next?" freaked out. It's not fun.

I feel for ya

I remember my family had a couple of really bad years when I was younger. An uncle died young, another had an accident, Grandad started with the strokes, Nana started with alzhemiers. A family friend committed suicide. Was very strange and seemed like a hurricane blowing through the family.

*hugs*

The suicide thing is a recognized phenomenon. It tends to go through closed communities - schools, universities, etc. In fact, there was a news story just recently that there have been a number of suicides in the Chicago fire department over the last year.

It's not you, honey. It's the approach of 2012. This is all part of the prophecies.

thank god someone is talking sense!

Update on the tiny bass player: they TRIED to do a biopsy but "couldn't get any cells" and "will try again Wednesday," remember--I am getting all this info fourth hand from some very distraught (and non-medical) people.

My son went to see him today. Tiny bass man is too weak to walk, but, also on lots of MSO4 due to pain.

thanks for your well wishes.

Please send healing meditations or vibes or just one good wish into the Universe for him.

Thanks, everyone.
