Not sure what's unintentionally funnier...

The time listed for the robbery, or the suspects' last name:

Two drug store employees captured a man who police believe pulled off a string of pharmacy robberies in East Mesa dating back to last July, authorities said Thursday.

According to police, the robber would enter Walgreen's or CVS/pharmacy stores and point a handgun at the employees behind the pharmacy counters while demanding the prescription drugs Oxycontin and Xanax.

Around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, latex gloves and a surgical mask entered the Walgreens store located at Southern Avenue and Higley Road.

The man, later identified as 34-year-old Carlos Steven Krakoff, walked to the pharmacy counter and demanded Oxycontin and Xanax. The suspect told the pharmacy technician she had 10 seconds to comply as he began counting down from 10.

While waiting for the drugs, the suspect had his hands in his pockets, and the pharmacy technician told police she feared he was concealing a weapon. She gave him several bottles of the medication.

The man took the bottles and attempted to flee. Another store employee had informed a manager of the robbery in-progress, and the two apprehended Krakoff in the store and were able to hold him until police arrived.

Krakoff matched the description of five similar robberies throughout East Mesa.

The suspect had also been driving a blue Volvo, which witnesses had described in the previous robberies.

According to police, Krakoff told detectives he had committed six robberies at several CVS/pharmacy and Walgreens pharmacies.

Krakoff told police he was addicted to the medications and had also been selling some of the stolen prescription drugs.

A search warrant was executed at Krakoff's home where several items of evidence were found including a 9mm handgun.

Krakoff could be facing up to two charges of robbery and four charges of armed robbery.
