Former Bush Aid breaks wife's jaw with a flashlight

BOSTON (Reuters) – A former top attorney for President George W. Bush was charged in Connecticut on Thursday with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked his wife with a long flashlight.

John Michael Farren, 57, of New Canaan, was arrested after police received a panic alarm from his home shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday, local media reported.

Mary Farren, 43, a partner at the law firm Skadden, Arps, suffered a broken jaw, facial fractures and lacerations to the back of her head from the attack.
Mission accomplished? Mary Farren has filed for divorce from John Farren and claims to be terrified of him (I wonder why?)

Just one more example of the ethics and integrity among our leaders in the last administration. And, yes, Bush did it. He picked this squirrel.

I beg your pardon.

George W. is a smirking frat boy whom I never trusted, but trying to sling mud on him for this incident is just silly. Take any sufficiently large group and a few will have a few screws loose.

Sidebar. If I remember correctly, New Canaan is on CT's southern coast. Then settlers founded Canaan up in the backcountry NW corner of CT. Correct? New Canaan is a NYC commuter town? Canaan is where Carly Simon wrote "Your so vain"?

Difficulty understanding the difference between these towns.

truly, the above is a toe-dip in the stream that is tw's consciousness.

Absolutely not. But it may be where she wrote "You're so Vain". Right, Monster?

I don't see that this story shows anything about George W. In any group of people over a dozen, there's going to be a few with a couple of screws loose.

If you want to slam GW, there's lots of stuff out there to work with. But this is just sensationalism.

I must admit, though I am ever willing to see people throw shit at GW; I don't see how this relates to him at all.

Well, let's see. We can find a way to blame it on Bush.

*thinks for a second or two*

OK, how's this? GW made this guy work long hours defending all the illegal shit his administration was doing. Never thanked him. Took him for granted. Put him in the situation of defending all sorts of vile stuff that nobody in his right mind would defend. But he toughed it out because he knew that he would be able cash in those political connection for a nice partnership at a big firm. Alas, the long hours over several years made him and his wife grow distant. She complained that he wasn't the same man she fell in love with all those years ago. He had changed. She filed for divorce. After all he did for her! For them! He couldn't stand the betrayal. He gave away the best years of his life to that bastard, Bush, so that he and his wife could enjoy the easy life together, and now she was leaving him? It was almost as if she had planned it all along. Bush! It was all his fault!

Bush did it. Bush hit the lady with the flashlight and now they're trying to cover it up.
