TW put on notice by GM

Guess who wrote a book called "Car Guys vs Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business"?

Former GM vice chairman Bob Lutz.

Will GM and the Volt turn out to be the heroes? As much as the company is annoying, that would be a nice turnaround wouldn't it?

http://blogs.motortrend.com/bob-lutz...ure-14747.html

Bold mine for TW:

Quote:
Car Guys vs Bean Counters is mostly a blistering attack on the numbers-driven management culture that blights many American corporations, and for which pre-bankruptcy GM was perhaps the ultimate poster child.
...
Lutz, who opens the book with an account of how Ford of Europe’s finance department pointed out fixing a problem with camshafts failing shortly after the 12,000-mile warranty expired would result in a $50 million hole in the company’s profit forecast because Parts and Service would no longer be able to sell replacement camshafts to customers, savages America’s business schools: “The big business schools should be asking how and why it all went wrong. They have produced generations of number-crunching, alternate-scenario-loving, spreadsheet-addicted idiot-savants. They should be ashamed.”
Preach it brother!

Car guys vs. bean counters, yeah real cliffhanger how that turns out...

The car, as people over thirty remember it, is dead.

Why post what does not exist? Use the search engine to separate that speculation from fact.

"A search engine that separates speculation from fact?"

Now who's posting what doesn't exist, mister?

OMG. Rapture actually did happen! A body is now misquoting Cellar posts as well as reinterpreting the bible. Religious extremism has even subverted the Cellar! We are doomed to believe Lutz is a prophet!
