Runner's High

I've been told, you fools that exercise heavily, or run yuck for fun, get what's called a "Runner's High", where suddenly the self induced pain subsides and you feel good. I guess it equates with delirium.
Well, most medical types, and coach/trainer/Torquemadas, have explained this as a rush of endorphins your body produces during the exertion. Body self-medicating, methinks.

Now it appears endorphins have a lot less to do with it.
Quote:
That euphoric exercise rush “may be the product of a completely different but oddly familiar substance — the body’s own endocannabinoids, the chemicals that, like the cannabinoids in marijuana, lighten mood.”
Damn, those health nuts are just a bunch of stoners after all. Just healthier.
