Hair dye: OK for covering gray. NOT ok for changing color. Bleach is a definite no-no. And don't talk about it. Buy it at a drug store you don't usually shop at, for cash.

Movies: Generally, anything with Meryl Streep or Sissy Spacek is right out.

Wearing dresses/other articles of women's clothing: OK for Halloween and J. Edgar Hoover's birthday, but don't look too comfortable in them. Other than that, verboten.

Shaving: Unless you're a professional swimmer or bicycle racer, should be confined to the face.

I not so sure. I've seen some guys that really ought to shave their backs.

Does this mean I can't watch Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, and Hugh Grant anymore??

I've got that box set too, SD. Hell, my wife once came home to find me dusting the living room while singing along to show tunes on the cable tv music channels...yet, I'm the guy who posted the pic of Britany Spears.

Does this mean I'm bi?

As a representative of the younger generation, I think hair dye is acceptable for changing color. Not that I would ever do it. I'm not sure if any of my friends would, either. It's done, though.

It's acceptable if it's not covert. Obvious changes (like blue) or two toned are OK.

I saw a guy that was probably in his late 60's the other day walking around the mall with bright (and I mean bright) lime green hair. Died his beard to match.

Don't you people have anything better to do?

Sycamore on hair dyeing: Sometimes, it's just fun to do something different. Though I dyed it quite a bit between 1995 and 1997, I've only dyed it one time since then.

Sycamore on Meryl Streep: Yeah, she makes a lot of "chick flicks," but she's a great actress. You really owe it to yourself to see the mini-series Angels in America, which will probably be shown several more times on HBO (and will be available soon on DVD). She was great in the 3 roles she played.

Sycamore on shaving: Only the face and neck.

Sycamore on Sycamore: I'm just a well-rounded guy that makes the ladies swoon and gives hope to males worldwide by smashing the typical male stereotypes...although I can be as "typical male" as the next guy.
