Good Gifting!

Since Mr. Negativity raised his ugly head on the other thread, I thought I should mention the good ones.

My sister-in-law got me a dark blue shetland wool sweater thats totally soft with lanolin. nice

My father-in-law found the first 3 books in the foxfire series on ebay something I've been meaning to pick up for several years. You never know when you're going to have to build a still or a bear proof pig pen.

My mother-in-law watched the kids so Pete and I could catch LOTR and go to our favorite mexican place with my brother-in-law and his wife.

All these presents considered who the receiver was, making it much easier to accept them with the proper spirit. g

I got some cool scrapbook stuff... my mom took me shopping at some after christmas clearance sales and i got a ton of new shirts for cheap. i also got some pans that i wanted and a couple of dvds. geo got me a hundred year's worth of bath and body stuff, a very nice gold necklace and some really pretty amethyst earrings.

i do happen to have a deadbeat brother and a psycho sister. their kid tantrumed out of the christmas melee three or four times because he wasn't getting presents fast enough. amazing. they didn't do anything to stop him..he and his mom were the holiday blight this year.

Foxfire books! I was so into them as a kid. We still have #3 I think at the cabin- it has all the freaky mustard treatments and stuff...Great reading.

Anyway- The bro scored with the beef log and the rents got it right with some nice stainless steel cookware.

The spouse (and I) dialed in with a planned trip to Montreal! Cool!

I haven't thought of the Foxfire series in ages. Thanks for the reminder. I know I have them around here someplace.
