Best friend's new addition.
His border collie had to be euthanized 2-3 yrs ago, after fifteen yrs of never leaving his side. He went to work with him, every day, guarded the truck, and God help you if tried to get in that truck and hadn't rode in with him. He always remembered who rode with who, and would always give the people who rode with him free access. He went to parties with us. Camping. Cook outs. Vacations. Road trips, you name it, that dog went everywhere with him/us. People would try get him to take a pup, they even showed up with a pup unannounced. He would play with the pup, talk about how cute it was, but, always handed it back saying he wasn't ready for another dog yet. We were sitting in his backyard a few nights ago, 2-2:30 in the morning, drinking, laughing, partying like we do, when we heard something in the leaves. In the dark. We were ready to leap to safety, as we were expecting it to be a opossum. Instead, this little roly-poly thing wobble/stumbled up to us and laid down in front of the fire like he had just finished a long trip home. I guess he had. Because, apparently, he's home. His name is Crash. Because he crashed our party. |
That, is a first class dog. :thumb:

Grav: He is too adorable. And look at those blue eyes! :joylove:

Love the frogdog posture in picture two!

Awwwww....
I can haz for-eber home? |
Ohhh. how completely adorable. The way he's lay, that shot from above: Paint him brown and he'd look just like Pilau when he was a pup.

Pico, Turbo looks like a cat having fun!
Although as you were telling him "Don't fall" and still spinning the chair, I'm not sure what his exacts thoughts would be... :) The fact he looks up at you so sweetly afterwards shows he has total faith and trust. What a beautiful boy. And Grav - wow. Even I am not immune to a great story and cute puppy pics. He is so adorable. And it sounds like he chose a good man to live with. Not sure about the literal naming policy though. What if he had wandered along while your friend was having a pee, or a bit of lady action? I'd feel for a dog called Piss or Twat.... ;) |
Thanks for noticing his best quality. He is a total sweetie, and he loves me.

JSU's are one of the best kind of dogs!
I hate dial up I can't see Turbo :( |

Diz says - I am WAY over due for my close-up Ms DeMille!
BACK OFF CAT! Let me show other people how cute you can be at arms length, or in a cute dozing position No. I am moving. I am doing something. Diz has his nose in it. From unpacking carrier bags to picking up a camera, this boy has to investigate. Even when he is really dozy, as below. Just woken up from sleeping on my chest. The camera was in reach, but switching it on was too much for him to resist. What I'd love to get is a pic of one of his more endearing positions. Sometimes, when he is trying to disembowel my arm (I know, but he doesn't) he hunkers down over it and falls asleep. He crosses his frint paws underneath my wrist and rests his head against my hand. I get it - he's dominated his play-enemy, my arm heats his reasonably hair-free belly (natural! I don't shave it!) and it feels like he's top of the kitten pile again. It's just as soon as I make a tiny move he's up and being Sherlock Diz again. |

Speaking of relatively hair-free bellies, this shot shows how I came up with my new nickname for Crash.
Smile for the camera Specklebelly. |
