Hmmm.....I may need to hire Foot for a job.

Sundae 12-29-2013 02:52 AM

Sorry Foot, I assumed it was a joke about certain bodily fluids being good for the skin.
I love your work there.

The secret is airbrushed foundation, high doses of estrogen, daily moisturizing with a good cream and a really good airbrusher to clean up my photos. :)

Yes, I was "cleaned up" a little bit. But yes, my skin is one of my good points.

Plus doing it all under that Texas Sun.

DanaC 12-30-2013 03:27 AM

God, what i wouldn't give for that complexion, Pam!

footfootfoot 12-30-2013 04:01 PM

Maybe we can arrange something Dana...

orthodoc 12-30-2013 05:14 PM

Maybe every woman needs to be airbrushed at least once in her life ...

monster 12-30-2013 06:14 PM

Or maybe we need to learn that natural is OK?

BigV 12-30-2013 06:58 PM

Like naturally purple hair?

fargon 12-30-2013 07:18 PM

Natural Good!

orthodoc 12-30-2013 08:12 PM

Men love natural as long as the woman looks like Christie Brinkley. And, she's airbrushed.

The most beautiful woman I've ever seen was in her early 60s, no makeup, slender, some wrinkles in the right places (laugh lines, for example), long brunette hair streaked with gray, and no apologies for what life has wrought. She came to see me for an employment physical and I couldn't get over how wonderful, how perfect she was.

I hope that, when I'm in my 60s, I'll be able to approach her beauty.

Ortho you've got to get off the self pity jag and paint with a finer brush. At least preface your statements with "I know it's just me feeling this way but..."

You aren't the spokesperson for what other people, especially men, find attractive. I like clean scrubbed faces, not heavily made up airbrushed ones.

My retouching of Ali's photo was to make the point that Pam's complection had more than a little help. Personally. I prefer the original Ali pic.

Aliantha 12-31-2013 10:14 AM

The original ali pic is me 20 yrs ago before age and the australian sun (among other things) had their way with me.

Thanks (in a way) for the trip down memory lane foot. Xx

another example of unreality sold as "what you want"

Fair enough. Although I really don't think all women need airbrushing at least once in their lives - that comment was meant tongue in cheek. But I have no right to say what men as a group like or don't like. Yes, I have to get over my personal issues about looking different after cancer and stop generalizing. I'm working on it. Will try harder.
