Reboot at least once a day, usually more.

If you've got cable, the gateway (modem) may need to be unplugged from the power adapter for 30 seconds and plugged back in to reboot it as part of its periodic maintenance (it's that way with my Netgear stuff). Unplug the Wi-Fi/router power adapter first, then the gateway power adapter. Reverse the order to plug the power adapters back in and wait until all the indicator lights come on and are steady.

I have to reboot the Verizon box occasionally when Verizon has a glitch or after a power outage. The WiFi is built into the box and password protected but I don't use it. I have no problem getting to any site, utube included, but trying to start a video, even one embedded in a site, it takes forever to start.
