I've heard he's a 74 year old retired Army Colonel.

Sedicius: From pics I've seen of him, I'd say he's in his early-to-mid twenties. No older than 32-ish. Why do you ask?

MuadDib: nice finds, particularly the book (Quake). Possibly Dick North is the person referenced by the phrase on the lights page "the poet is dead", but right now there's no way to tell for sure.

I've heard that too. I'm not sure what keeps me suspicious...

Yes, my thoughts exactly. and if you remember the highway page, a popup that says "a life half lived" appears when you put your cursor over the truck in the other lane. In DDD, Dick North was killed on a highway by a truck or van. For those of you that didnt know, Dick North is a one-armed poet in "Dance Dance Dance"

SilverPhoenix 10-07-2004 09:08 PM

not to mention the new side-page whose title is "a life half lived"

Redneck 10-07-2004 10:22 PM

So what are you sayin' that a "life half lived" could refer to the one armed poet since some ppl would call him half a man?

SilverPhoenix 10-07-2004 11:14 PM

naw. I was referring to a couple of things. First, that Dick North was killed in an accident and didn't die in his sleep ('a life half-lived' is often used to say that someone's life was cut short). Second, a number of references to DN show up in the source of HypericumPerforatum.htm (the mother of all ascii pics), which is linked from the original highway page.

If the creator of thisisnotporn is Kristian Boruff, young or old, It doesnt matter, then who is this Dende Phish refrenced in the source code of the pop-up page that reads "HELP I AM DROWNING"? It claims that he created the site, and what is the countdown date mean? It has to be important...Jun 6 2005 11:38:00, odd.

Redneck 10-08-2004 07:09 PM

No, Dende Phish is just the guy that wrote that script, the creator of this site just used the script from "The Javascript Source". It doesn't mean he's the creator of the site.
As for the countdown date, I don't think any of us will know untill then.

Sedicius 10-09-2004 05:33 PM

Hmmm, something else to think about would be how many people are a part of this "Devil in the Sun" production group, is it just Dende Phish and Kristian Boruff, or is it a whole team of people? And about the dates on the pictures, Some are from 2001 (at the earliest that I remeber, im at my dads this weekend, and I havent been working on the puzzle latly, but as soon as sunday night comes ill be right back at it!) maybe some were earlier, that means that they had to have planned to create this for years, it has to have been excellently planned out. Kind of scary if you think about it...why would they plan for so long for just a puzzle?
