Yeah, it's much better now with socialism. Drive by shootings, abortion, babies having babies, and the only thing to fear is Rush Limbaugh on your radio. A great time to be an American!

You say that as though all that shit wasn't going on during times of capitalism. :dunce:

All that stuff just started. Seems like only a year ago there were no babies having babies, shootings, or abortions (wow what a mish-mash of ideologies.)

Sigh. I long for the idyllic days of yester(last)year.

*That's because all of the unwed mothers and gang-bangers were being held in a big Guantanamo facility that Bush/Cheney built. The terrorists were only a cover. The only exemptions were for prominent Republicans, which is why the only unwed mother we heard about last year was Sarah Palin's daughter.:right:

*note for conservatives and other sarcasm-impaired individuals. That was sarcasm. Please do not give this to Rush Limbaugh. He might air it as news.

That video crashed Firefox on my machine. Weird.

I don't know if this made the news anywhere else, but in the National Zoo, which is located in Rock Creek Park, a confused young deer jumped into the lion pit. The lions played with it a little bit, and zookeepers ended up having to euthanize the deer after they got the situation under control because it was hurt so bad.

I'm sure they're a talented band of Irish fruity ass clowns, but they can't hear Jimmi.

damn.

Wrong

This was really beautiful - I loved it

(psst jim - we're not 17 anymore - give up the hardcore and open up to some new experiences)

If they want to do there own thing, why don't they do their own thing, instead of fucking up someone else's thing?

Damn Bruce - don't be angry :)

Many bands cover other songs and in the process make it into something new - It's a great way to hear new things in an old song.

Everyone loved Cash's interpretation of "Hurt" - right?

I thought they brought something new to the song. I really thought it was soft and beautiful. When Tony and I listened together - he agreed. He said there were changes and nuances that were in the original song but brought more to light in the cover.

It's just a matter of what makes you happy. I like the creativity.

I love covers when they are a most excellent cover.

I'm not angry. Playing covers is an old and honorable tradition, but what they're doing isn't playing a cover, adding their own nuances, with respect to the original. They are taking someone else's song, and completely re-purposing it, which is more akin to plagiarism, than covering. It's legal and shit, but it ain't right. :headshake
