Less than a week to go on the contest voting. I'm currently #15 out of 73, which isn't too bad.

I ended up 18 out of 144 in voting. Results come in on or about April 30.

Alas, no joy. As for the judges' taste, even taking mine out of the running, I'd only put the angel one near the top of the entries. Ah, well... Maybe they'll do it again next year.

Encouraging people to build those big figures sells more tape.

to be fair, I think the vision of the contest holders was more along the lines of the lost mold types. HM's geometrical structure was relatively unconventional.

That's true, but they were basing a large part of the score on originality. I guess the judges didn't actually want what they said they wanted.
