In the spirit of Brangelina, and Bennifer, I move that henceforth whenever we mention Jim & Amanda The Couple, we refer to them as Jimanda.

That is all.

Unless there will be taste-o-vision in a few years then you will find me slurping the champagne, smokin the blunts and dancing with beautiful well endowed women that are at least 6" taller than I.

xoxoxoBruce 11-03-2016 07:04 PM

That's the minimum you should expect for buying/wearing a suit.

lumberjim 11-03-2016 07:37 PM

maybe that 'go live' bookface thing will work....

Aliantha's baby broadcast a couple seconds last night, so I should be able to figure that out.

captainhook455 11-04-2016 07:09 AM

I plan to stay at least 9 days anytime I go up there. Wouldn't make sense to rent a tux here. Hopefully LJ won't have a clown wedding. After all where could we rent 12 clown suits?

tarheel

Sundae 11-04-2016 08:07 AM

So pleased for you Jim. Brilliant.

captainhook455 11-06-2016 06:08 AM

If I was Amanda I be like WTF? Three more years of free pu$$y? See after the license is signed and the I do's are said then pu$$y is no longer free. The man pays for it all. The woman's money goes into a secret vault in Switzerland somewhere. My own mother knew she was dying and told me there was 20k in two envelopes in the left side of the box springs in her bedroom. Women don't understand men. They read the magazines with 1100 ways to please your man. There are only 3 ways. Phuck me, feed me and don't talk so much.

tarheel

xoxoxoBruce 11-06-2016 06:17 AM

My buddy married a chick that earns $40,000 a year without leaving the bedroom.

captainhook455 11-06-2016 07:46 AM

Some men are to macho to understand women. Females like to be touched, hold their face when kissing or not. Hold their hand when out and about. Constantly tell them you love them, need them. Pat them on the butt. Call them by their full name not the nickname everyone else calls them. I would put lotion on my rough hands and that was the signal. Not that I knew that. Never thought of it. She ran around locking doors and pulling shades. See I am the man who loves her, needs her, listens to her and sometimes I hear what she said.

Men want to be admired for what they accomplish, Women want to admired for who they are.

I got a hearty thank you when I asked for a nail file/emery board.

captainhook455 11-06-2016 10:19 AM

I agree with most of what you said except I think men admire what they have. Boat, car and motorcycle. Women look my way when parking the Avalanche then old fat man with cane gets out.

xoxoxoBruce 11-06-2016 10:28 AM

The last few years before I retired, I noticed how many people arrived at work and limped for at least three steps exiting their car.

captainhook455 11-06-2016 11:17 AM

A little hitch in our step eh? That started when I was about 55. Then a hernia, artery, another hernia blah blah. I told my doctor that I had a fun wild life and now he has to rebuild me. The truth is that motorcycle out in the shed is what keeps me from becoming a statue. I just realized my wife has been talking to me while I write this and I have no clue what she talking about. Ha ha ha

tarheel

xoxoxoBruce 11-06-2016 01:46 PM

Yeah, hitch in the gitalong. Just keep nodding yes, she's going to do what she wants anyway. Oh and lay your wallet on the table. If she starts out the door with it, holler pick me up some hand cream. ;)

captainhook455 11-06-2016 05:30 PM

The internet is a wonderful thing. I can get firstcousinsex.com in the morning and killyourwife.com in the afternoon. Goldbond powder works just as good.

captainhook455 11-07-2016 01:00 PM

I have great news. The surgeon does not have to do my left carotid artery. All tests show that side is almost brand new looking. Took me off the plavix and back on 81mg aspirin. Funny thing I texted LJ first.

xoxoxoBruce 11-07-2016 01:18 PM

You just wanted to dash his hopes you wouldn't fuck up his wedding. :lol2:
Seriously though, that's great news, you made my day.

You mean like eat a large can of pork and beans before the wedding or a couple of Big Macs or wear orange sneakers with a black tux or hang a qt zip lock of sugar on the bumper or put a banana in the tailpipe. You mean that kind of phuck up?

tarheel

captainhook455 11-07-2016 01:45 PM

Oh dead. I get it now. I would go up there and be on the honeymoon night in spirit. Like giving instructions. Since I plan to be alive at the wedding then I would probably wouldn't be welcomed on the honeymoon unless I really wanted to die.

tarheel

lumberjim 11-07-2016 01:46 PM

I think I know where everything goes anyway

captainhook455 11-07-2016 03:11 PM

What's that sound that Lurch made? I am not much to look at now, but once I was the best on the eastern seaboard. I never did the basket thing though.

How can one explain a friendship with a man I have never met. It is the highlight of my day to text with LJ. Come spring I hope to shake his big paw. I don't know about a hug as he like 7' or 8' tall and I don't want to be that close to his belt buckle. Lol.

DanaC 11-08-2016 05:09 PM

Holy crap, I missed the proposal, the preproposal jitters and the euphoria of acceptance.

Jim - so pleased for you both. Seriously, my dear, I am made up for you. I am sitting here catching up on this thread with the biggest smile.

Congratulations.

lumberjim 11-08-2016 05:13 PM

THANKS!

DanaC 11-08-2016 05:14 PM

You and your lass deserve all the happiness in the world.

captainhook455 11-08-2016 05:48 PM

Watch that Dana his head is big enough already. I think he ought to get hitched next year. The drama is overwhelming. Why should he be happy for 2 more years?

tarheel

Aliantha 11-12-2016 12:55 AM

I thought this was wonderful news, but I saw it first on FB as usual. Well done Jim. I'm very pleased for you both. xx

lumberjim 11-12-2016 02:00 AM

I should have told the cellar first, but you guys knew ahead of time. And the Fam was noodging me the whole first half.

When I asked her, I grabbed a guy that was standing nearby and asked him to take our picture. Told him what I was up to.

He had the foresight to take video on his phone while he was taking our picture with mine. Just as I propsed, her sister's boyfriend texted 'do it yet?' and he missed the shot. He was nice enough to email me the video, though.

Sorry it's crap quality. He had an iPhone, so I had to convert the file.

Gravdigr 11-26-2016 01:32 PM

On its way to Nakina NC. Took about 5 hours of dottering around in the garage to shape it. Used a lot of tools... Had a fun day off.

xoxoxoBruce 12-14-2016 07:33 PM

Those stairs in the background are killers, I had a set like that in the last house.

lumberjim 12-14-2016 08:17 PM

Servant stairs. It was a closet when I only had the bottom floor.

Sunday and Monday, we got the old bedroom painted and changed to the new living room.

captainhook455 12-15-2016 08:11 AM

I know how old Jim is, but if I didn't know his age it would be easy to guess he is not old and decrepit yet just from various pictures I have seen of his house.
No newspapers on the floor from week before last.
No stack of dishes in the dish strainer.
No collection of mail next to the Masters favorite spot on the couch.
No stain on the carpet that has been there since........
No cigarette butts stomped on the garage floor.
No parade of appliances on the kitchen counter.
He finally did get a cat and he claims he doesn't like cats, but he felt sorry for this one. Some smuck put him out declawed. So the sucker I mean Jim and the cat are best buds these days. This is proof positive that Jim is on the road to senility.

elSicomoro 12-15-2016 10:04 AM

Well, he IS getting remarried too...

lumberjim 12-15-2016 10:21 AM

I'm about to have 3 cats. And the neighbors did take Fringe in with their other cats. Oh, and I do have that stain, I just don't take pics of it. ;)

Thanks, Bruce! Merry Christmas!

This is her official move in date. We rented a uhaul and moved all of the big stuff in. It's like Christmas. I've got all this new stuff now. And some of my old stuff that had been stored in her basement.

Pretty cool

glatt 12-18-2016 08:18 PM

Excellent.

Clodfobble 12-18-2016 09:00 PM

That Bruce is a funny guy.

xoxoxoBruce 12-18-2016 10:20 PM

Your welcome, many happy returns. :D

captainhook455 12-19-2016 11:31 AM

Why didn't I think of a card? Oh well I went overboard and got him something for his bike, but I like this big guy even though I've never met him in person yet. He sent me something for my bike. Something I wanted, but to cheap to purchase. I already see what to get him next Christmas unless he buys it first. In case I forget. Merry Christmas everyone or Happy Hanukkah.

ha! Very nice. Congrats on the new roomie.

lumberjim 12-24-2016 07:39 AM

For those of you that haven't seen these on book face already... Last night Amanda was kind enough to drive up to PA and fetch my kids back here. I felt very guilty, as while she was fighting traffic, I was attending my work Christmas party. When I got home, I fed them and we went out and got our tree.

Clodfobble 12-24-2016 08:00 AM

Very sweet pictures! Riley reminds me of a celebrity I can't put my finger on. I, too, am the one who does all the driving to ferry my stepkids back and forth. It just works better.
