This one won't last long (in fact, it may have been done before). I don't have the bigger pic to go with it, so you'll have to take my word for what it is, if no one gets it (but someone will). Anyway...
What is this? |
The camera on your phone.
Your icehole.
A telescope, more precisely a shot of the mirror
Dingdingding! We have a winner! The mirror at the bottom of a three inch reflector telescope.

A shiny gold star and what's behind curtain number 2 for anyone that can guess what this is :D
It's either herbs drying on regular, old coathooks, or spare foliage for The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill segment from Creepshow.
Thyme?
Patio furniture flight dampeners (mint)

Yeah, if it looks like any of the Li'l Rascals, it'd be Buckwheat.

This is a scan of a pic that was under the clear plastic of an old Evertone phone dialer.
I just thought it was kinda cool and wondered where it was, or might be if it's even a real scene. The original is very low rez and this is blown up considerably, but I think it might be from a famous painting. Any ideas? |
Sure, that's the castle upstairs, over the Cellar. :haha:
Looks like a castle from a German fairy tale - or the castle from Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang????
Is it the place that was in the "first ever photograph"?
No, that was a cityscape, no castle.
What is this? It's on a 3"x5" card:

One of those insects that looks like a leaf with nitrogen deficiency.
Funky toenail.
A scale from a tiny green dragon?
Holly leaf? |
something turtle related. One of those segments of the shell. Like a soccer ball segment.
It does have a toothular® appearance.
glatt correct!
http://cellar.org/2010/thingie3.jpg The turtle's shell consists of these what they call "scutes", which shed away one piece at a time. |
sweet!
So is it OK that it's shedding, or is that some kind of disease or something?
Totally normal, it's like a snake shedding, except that the turtle doesn't need to shed everything at once. Once the scutes come loose, it means the shell underneath is hardened and ready to protect. This one was partly green only because algae grew on it.

It's a nice picture. I almost went with a porch light and flora, but flipped a coin in my head and got lucky.
It's very Halloweeney.
