I had a great dinner birthday last night comprised mostly of leftovers and enjoyed my gifts, a new ceramic non stick frying pan (Green Pan) and a Kuhn Rikon travel chef knife with a case. I also ordered the new TV streaming Chromecast device by Google but it's back-ordered by a week or so, kind of a self birthday gift.

I'm not much of a birthday cake person and I have no oven in my kitchen what with the remodeling but I managed to cook a peach gratin out in my Old Forge Smoker that came out nicely! It's become my outdoor oven and works pretty well. :D

Outdoor cooking is the best! especially when the air conditioner is blowing warm air (but I know that's been resolved.)
