I agree that rarely covers are very good - Nirvana's Man Who Sold The World being an unusually good peice. On the other hand, there are "elevator music" versions of Devo.

I would want to hear it out of EXTREME curiousity.

I've heard some good covers from performers I would never expect it from, though not as often as I'd like.

I'm lucky, I can't seem to remember any bad ones, my mind is kind enough to let me forget.
