All administrations do that, unfortunately. It's part of being in office (or being human, for that matter) - you cast yourself in the best possible light. The trick is learning to see through it and trying to discern what the facts are, and then going from there.

Of course all administrations do that. However, it's the job of the media to report oversights (like Bush claiming he didn't know Ken Lay before 94), and they're as scared to touch Bush as his political opponents are. Funny how this "liberal media" wasn't so forgiving of Gore in the elections last year.
