The logical and practical side of me says Canada. Some beautiful places...... universal healthcare...low crime...

The romantic in me says italy...

The lover of illegal substances in me says The Netherlands

Could I defer my answer until after I know where UG is going?

Does anyone actually live in Queenstown? Actually, I know they do. I suppose it's like asking if anyone actually lives in Las Vegas.

Canada actually would be nice... Or New Zealand, my girlfriend keeps telling me she wants to go there.

Seeing as I don't really mind living in England I'd say Australia, which seems to be basically the same as England... only on Prozac...

That's probably just because they don't have bad weather to complain about like we do.

warch 06-09-2006 04:19 PM

Canada, including, and maybe preferring Montreal. I may go even if I dont have to.

KinkyVixen 06-09-2006 04:40 PM

I wouldn't leave my country...I know, I know, it's all hypothetical "what if you had to" etc, etc...I don't have to...and I won't have to. I'm staying put.

I Tend to think about a coast town in central america ( any country will do , as long as the cops are EASY to PAY OFF ) , Crasy Senyor Zip , liveing in the jungle , near the coast , owning the land from the jungle to the beach , just don't bother him , all is good unless you mess with him !!! ;)

Just about any-where, right? I couldn't agree more. But if I could adopt a new country, or have it adopt me, it would be (anywhere in) Great Britain.

Reason: I love history, particularly western, post-Roman Empire. And I have an affinity for GB because of my heritage...I'm about as Anglo-Saxon as an American can be (and some of my bloodlines have been here almost 400 years). There is NO bloodline that goes outside that category, which might explain the troublesome gene pool.

jonesieQ 06-10-2006 12:16 AM

So I wouldn't mind getting back to the scene of the crime...particularly Wales. Only problem there is the rain..........I'd be a perpetual prune suffering from seasonal affective disorder. Not a pretty picture. Ok, so maybe the Italian Alps...at least I could get to GB for frequent visits.

Don't get me started...genealogy is a hook and I'll never shut up. But do tell...anymore on the Stevenson history?
