Kerry's statement was already political, and it was only twisted by his handlers. It's his claim that the Republicans have politicized it, and he's not kidding.

As far as we can tell, anyway. Or maybe he's joking again. Hard to tell.

That's what I said. Are you going way out of your way to pick a fight?

Maggie, stop being a Bush apologist. Bush is the single worst scumbag to ever befoul the oval office. He is guilty of treason, and he's a military deserter.

Each and every word Kerry said was the truth, and a jerk like Bush isn't worthy to question comments about the military made by a decorated combat veteran and neither are you.

Those who join the military tend to be less educated. This isn't an opinion, it's a fact. Smart people don't sign up to get shot at in an unconstitutional, unwarranted, and unprovoked war in which nobody is defending America and everyone taking part has violated their oath.

So why is he respinning it? Can't have it both ways. Either he really meant it or he was misunderstood.

I wouldn't dream of it. I can't get you to read, how could I get you to listen?

Besides, I said "most people". That doesn't include you.

Spexxvet 11-01-2006 11:08 AM

You mean like "this administration will stay the course" and "this adminiistration has never been stay the course"?

And people who vote Big-L tend to be more educated too. But it doesn't make them smarter.

The funniest thing about the embroglio may be Kerry conflating academic success with intelligence. Especially given his record as an undergrad.

Kerry's not decorated anymore, he gave them back.

Radar 11-01-2006 11:25 AM

He was decorated. Tossing the medals does not mean you weren't decorated. Kerry didn't respin anything, he tried to stop the Bush administration from doing the spinning. Kerry said it the second time the same way he did the first. He has more honor, integrity, honesty, and character than the entire Bush administration combined.

Bush is a disgrace to the office, and to all Americans. He should be tried and executed for the treason he's openly admitted to.

Kerry at his very worst is a better man than Bush at his very best.

What he actually said and what his handlers said he was supposed to say are *not* the same thing.

I caught Kerry's act the first time around in the 1970's...and he hasn't improved since then.

And Bush managed to avoid it, *and* become President, thus proving that serving your country makes you stupid no matter how you slice it.

*NOTE* This is not intended as a slight to any of the wonderful people who serve their country. This is intended as a slight to moron politicians.
