Pretty disappointing so far... snapped this one on my way home from Target, which was deserted.

Well, here's what L. Conestoga looked like a little over an hour ago...

haha oh man just had the highlight of the night! I tied a plastic toboggan sled to the back of my car and did power slides all around the campus roads with my buddy riding in the sled.
Got chased down by security in their pickup truck though, but man it was fun while it lasted.

The weather in the States even made our news last night. I sat there smugly and though, "Yes, I already know that thank you!"

As many pictures as possible please, it's great to see what real snow looks like, rather than the icing sugar dusting I got.

DucksNuts 02-14-2007 04:41 AM

I'd kill for snow right now!!!

Jinx - in that *L. Conestoga* pic, are those houses the same????

Undertoad 02-14-2007 05:04 AM

What we have out there now is not pretty: an inch of snow, followed by an inch of sleet and freezing rain, which will now be followed by gale force winds. This is like a worst case scenario for people who drive, because they won't be able to keep the roads clear of ice all day.

When I was a wee one, my Uncle would take the hood off a junk car and tow it upside down behind his car or tractor. Remember old cars had hoods that were shaped like a boat when flipped over and would carry a half dozen people. Of course the roads were dirt(gravel), plowing was rare and in any case, not down to the dirt. Wheeeeeeeee! :jig:

busterb 02-14-2007 06:07 AM

Hi-jack Bruce. Ever see 2 hoods made into a boat?

I've seen pictures of that, but up on the mountain boats weren't a priority, Buster.

Today, a little snow, just about as deep as the tire sidewall, then sleet/ice in all it's sparkly wonder. Stayin' home today.

Spexxvet 02-14-2007 09:25 AM

The office is CLOSED!!! WOOOOOO-HOOOOO!

Trilby 02-14-2007 09:33 AM

we got 'bout 8 inches, then freezing rain, and then winds. Snow Day #2 for me--all the Uni's are closed. Naturally, I'm not taking advantage of this by studying, reading and beginning my paper. I'd rather panic next week.
