I like games on computer better than any console. I don't even think some of my favorite games are available for any of those systems.

DS will sell the most. I have a DS, play a lot of Chess and Backgammon.
I am looking into Wii for myself and my son. The only console that is good for older and younger players.
I have not had a console since SuperNintendo.

Ok Rk, Wii is like reliving the SNES all over again. I know, because its the system I grew up on. What digital paradise, :)

It is quite simple: PS3 was overengineered. Geeks and nerds who want more powerful graphics have Alienware with ATI Radeon 9900+ already. They don't really need another powerful game console to go along with it.

Ehhhhh I dunno. I wasn't expecting this from the PS3, the successor to the best selling console in gaming history, the PS2. I expected huge things from the PS3, just because of the PS2. Now Blu-Ray technology is gonna die out and Sony will have to wait another 5 years for the next next generation. It seems they are to stubborn to decrease the price when they observe their units not selling well. But by then the 360 and Wii will have the market and buyers will now be wary of Sony's new console. Remember the Nintendo GameCube? Remember the Dreamcast? History repeats itself, and the public will have little interest and faith in the PS4.

So blu-ray is losing the format war? HD-DVD is winning?

PS3 demonstrates a problem that all knowledgeable computer users also understand. We just don't know how to utilize multiprocessor programming. Intel is about to release an 80 processor chip for use of programming researchers (does not use standard Pentium machine code). PS3 suffers from same. An early demonstration required code from a researcher in Waterloo Canada because multiprocessor programming proved too difficult for PlayStation engineers. PS3 is part of a pioneering effort into uncharted computer programming research. As usual, software is again playing catch-up to hardware.

Well put.
