I just flew back from Scotland yesterday and saw both Edinburgh and Glasgow, though most of my time was spent in Edinburgh. I enjoyed Edinburgh much more than Glasgow, and Edinburgh has what you are looking for. You can catch a train to Glasgow from Edinburgh - it only takes about an hour each way.

We're off to Edinburgh in about an hour! Woohoo!

Edinburgh! I loved that city (oh so many years ago now...) The narroe streets, the grave yards, the hill and that park overlooking the city. lovely.
When I travel I get all tuned in sense wise. I need that again! I remember the overwhelming feel of being immersed in time, in the history of the stones and streets all around you. wonderful. Have a wonderful time. |
Come to my house, Warch... I'll tweak all your senses. ;)

Glasgow, York or Edinburgh? Edinburgh hands down. Nice blend of touristy stuff, raunchy opportunities, and local culture.
