I'll never understand why merkins don't modernize to duvets and catch up with the rest of the world. Is it because they sound french? Should we call it a freedom quilt?

I prefer a nice quilt.

Because they only come in metric sizes... not on my bed. :p

Monnie, I'm also laughing at the old fashioned sheets, blankets, topsheets etc.
Here's me with my duvet... and.... well that's it!
My only issue is I'm used to having a double duvet. Now I'm in a single bed, I have a single duvet. It's not the lack of mattress space that bugs me, it's how easily my butt or knees poke out. I tend to roll myself up in it, and there's a lot less available for wrapping now.

Luckily, Diz has adapted quicker, and I tend to wake up with him pressed right against me. In fact the other morning, his head was under the pillow and his body between my breasts. Nothing like warm boobies when you're short on duvet.
