While I have the opposite probelm. Two phones that work very well (landline and stone-age mobile) but never get to use them :(
Although I admit if I had surfing capabilities I would get a lot more use! |

Disney's Princess (no idea which one - I despise them all) looks apprehensive.
She knows Happily Ever After requires her to produce a male heir and look the other way once she has. She also fears the "religious wounding" to follow. The Duchess of Cambridge knows both what she is getting into and what she is getting. I was so proud on Castle Day that among the Disney Princesses we had a female Knight, and an Empress Matilda. We learned about her on our visit to Oxford Castle - how she escaped the siege by Stephen the Usurper, all dressed in white because of the snow, and galloped to join her troops outside Oxford. She successfully negotiated to have her son (Henry II, first of the Plantagenets) become King on Stephen's death. We also had two Cooks - roles we'd researched during Projects. I like it when girls don't believe the hype. |
Did that include the tale of her escaping across the frozen Thames? *smiles*
Fascinating period in our history. There were 19 years that we had two contending monarchs fighting it out in Britain. A period known as The Anarchy or The Nineteen Year Winter. |

The children do history in more detail and much earlier than we did when I was at school. I'm looking forward to The Great Fire of London with Tiger next year (specially as I did it last year and am now an expert). |
Pippa Middleton is in the news again-this time because she wore a see through dress to Wimbledon. OK, so yes, she is relatively attractive and I had another look at the wedding pics and yes, no issues with how looks in rear view in a bridesmaids dress, but despite looking at every image I could find of her on the image search engine, I really don't see that she is anymore attractive than the average person. Not sure what all the furor is about. Can anyone enlighten me?
