One of my best friends is watching his entire library of DVDs as a series, linked through common actors. He keeps a journal of the sequence.

Thanks for not spoiling. I watched it on Netflix and enjoyed it. There is a part toward the end where he winks at her. Very Redford moment.

No, no. Post anything here you think is interesting. Those are the moments that I was thinking of when I started the thread is all.

There were a few other actors I recognized, but I can't say from where without looking them up...would that be cheating?

The blond male lead is now on ncis-LA. The South Asian is on rules of engagement. The lead female is/was in the event (tv series). The adult woman is sarah palin (not really).

Thanks, Spexx. :)

Oh! I do know who the adult woman is for real...she was James Caan's daughter on Las Vegas.

This one surprised me. I was rewatching the first few episodes of Sex in the City on On Demand, and barely recognized a familiar face. Timothy Oliphant (from Deadwood and now Justified) played the "younger guy" Carrie picks up in a 20-something nightclub. Clip en Francais:

Who was also in a bunch of Old Navy ads years ago.

Just discovered this tonight. Sam Rockwell who played bad guys in Charlie's Angels and Iron Man 2 also plays Guy Fleegman in Galaxy Quest.

Isn't that just the cutest face? How can he play bad guys?

The same James Cromwell who played Farmer Hoggett in Babe (someone who inspired 'I'd like to adopt him as my grandpa' thoughts) played the bad guy in L.A. Confidential.

How about when I re-watched "apocalypse now" and noticed a tiny one line part that this young kid had and he ended up being the guy who was in the Indiana Jones movies and Star Wars?

Can that count?

Also a 12 year old lawrence fishburne

Question: Danny Devito's character in LA Confidential says a number of times throughout the movie "on the QT"...does anyone know what he's referring to?

footfootfoot 05-28-2011 07:16 AM

On the QT=quiet talk, subrosa, down low, hush hush, low down, etc.

casimendocina 05-28-2011 09:05 AM

Thanks 3F. Over a decade of wondering cleared up. :)
