I know who you mean but "Wiesenthal people" sounds like some munchkin/pixie gang.
It also just hit me that the Wiesenthal is the name of a restaurant near where I grew up - I ate there once or twice, and a friend of mine worked there for a while. I'd never made the connection until now. |
.... I think I was a dish washer there as well.

nazis are just another form of zealots. personally i prefer them over extreme wahabbist or hardcore gangstas.

Of those three, I am actually unable to decide which I detest more.
I think I'll say nazis but only because their efficiency makes them the most dangerous on a global scale. |
Of the three, the Nazis were the best dressed.
If that helps sway your decision. |
anyone find it ironic that a jew prefers the nazis?
|
Not really. The nazis are primarily an old threat. Wahabbist extremists are a current threat. Those who currently subscribe to nazi ideals are devoid of any real powerbase and don't pose a largescale threat.
|
I wouldn't describe Nazi's as an old threat. Especially if I were a black person.

No nazi killings have made the news in this country recently.
This makes them an old threat to me. Terrorists of different creeds have killed in my country far more recently. I still face the reality of sectarian violence at any time. Now probably less likely in GB (the mainland) than in the UK (inc Northern Ireland), but like the Spanish we still live with potential white Christian terrorism. And I won't deny there is a so-called "homegrown" terrorist threat by "radicalised" Muslims. Silly terms, because the Troubles were all "homegrown" but never referred to as such. Same as "radicalised" Catholics and Protestants. People on the edge of society, who cling to religion and guns... well, you know what I mean. People who believe God (by whatever name) is on their side, take arms and fight holy wars, thinking they are doing God's work. And later generations simply move on our are absorbed rather than conquered. You may have more experience of nazism Ali. And very possibly experience of racism. I hope not. And you know your boys are heartbreakers. But I have to disagree simply because of my personal experience. YMMV. Unless you take into account nazi hatred of gay people. Alive and well in homophobia around the world and supported by many Christians. |
These universal proclamations have little purpose. Nothing in life is black and white--nothing is simple. These "definitions" carry you further away from understanding. Some things you have to tell yourself "I don't know." Start with a small set of knowns and work outwards. Starting from the top down and making sweeping generalizations guarantees you will maximize the number of things you are wrong about.

The Nazi Party is definitely better.
None of that bring a covered dish, shit ... Nazi Parties are always catered, with an open bar. And they don't try to pass off liver in puff pastry or gefilte fish as food, either. |
