Good news! So does this mean a move for you, or will you stay wherever you're stationed now?

This is recognition of your hard work and talent. I'm glad we've got such competent people looking out for our interests. Thank you, sir. |
Clod, I am moving, but to a different Battalion here on Fort Bragg. So this will keep us in the same place for about 3 years at least. Well, the family will be here. I am sure I will have to deploy again at least once in that time frame. We are buying a house here with this move. It's quite an exciting time for us.

Cool !!! Rock on Top !!!
|
Well done Joe. Let me know when I have to start saluting you.

Gonna show us the new uniform when it comes through?

Congrats, Joe, this will give the family some stability, at least for a few years.
I used to work with a guy that was up for Sargent Major for PA. He had a copy of his official picture that was submitted, and spent hours looking for a flaw in his uniform. :) |
Good job regular.joe (P). Any interest in working as a 1SG? Then we could get you frocked so you can start wearing the stripes now!
|
Congrats and I formally request a pic in uniform please!!
|
Soxobon, I had a goal to make E-8 without having done any staff time. Goal accomplished, but now I have to go and work on a staff at Battalion for at least 6 months to a year. I'll probably take a 1SG position in about 12 months. I'll try to hold on to that for 24 months. No frocking for me, I'm not sure I ever liked that anyways.
Ducky, after I buy a new set of Blues, and sew on the new rank sometime next year, I'll post up a pic in the RFN thread or here. Deal? |
