I have to face facts that Diz apparently has a life expectancy of 8-10 years.
Didn't know that when I adopted both my boys, but I still would have done anyway. I've had him for five years now and had more cuddles and snuggles and cat-love than I could ever have expected. Swings and roundabouts. Singas came from a very small gene pool. Luckily no mutation so far, just not long lived. Mia-cat was 17 on Friday. I give her cuddles and snuggles and she still comes back to me. She waows, but she comes back. All cats - unless feral - should be grabbed at. I like to think I've enlivened her twilight years. |
Aw, Sundae... here's hoping he sticks around extra long just to prove everyone wrong :)
I think animals who have extra lovins' live longer anyway... that's been our experience so far. |
Yeah, our much loved Dane cross lived for 13 years which is highly unusual. Normally 10 would be the outside limit for a giant breed.
