At least twice a year and sometimes more. I have two nieces. For the rest of the family it's a special birthday thing.

Well, then that's a completely different story. Since you're a musician, you'd have a better chance of carrying it off. I bet you can even carry a tune!

If the person harmonizing is someone I like then it's harmless fun. If the person harmonizing is a douchebag, then it is douchebaggery.

I think holding back because others won't or can't is dumb. I also won't dumb-down my conversation at parties. Small talk bores me.

My Mom always sang the harmony, I do it when I feel like it. I sing a lot of HB in school and we always sing it for adults in both Pete's and my families

Yeah, its just fun. I sometimes do it, but mostly i just carry the tune cause not too many in my family can sing.

I think i probably sing the song once a month or more, usually while carrying a cake i have made. :)

My answer was somewhat flippant. Truth is, it's not something I've really come across much. Except maybe as a joke.
