Really well done V!
|
Thanks man.

cedar is so pretty.
That looks like it would make a fine computer table. One question: the top two shelves seem pretty close together..... maybe it's just my angle... but is there a reason you didn't put the top shelf up higher? |
good question. they are too close. I eyeballed it during construction and it's really too close. If I get bugged by it, I'd lower the middle shelf, the top one's already *up there*. Or... I could trim some gentle arches in the apron of the uppermost shelf giving more clearance. On the upside, it is better sheltered than any other spot on the bench. Moving the shelf would entail removing twelve screws, lowering the shelf and replacing the screws, maybe I'd be able to do it without drilling pilot holes, maybe not. it's not that big a deal at the moment though. good eye, good catch.

I was going to suggest cutting that support like you say. That would look cool too.... But only if they are symmetrical and straight. ..
maybe use a template to get both cut aways the same, and then sand the edges, or use a router to put a nice curved edge on the bottom of both supports.... ... Or just keep your tools on that shelf, lol. Anyway, it looks great |
Sweet! Very well done. Color me impressed.

We could stain you impressed. My students could color you though.
