Can you tell what it was before it became your coffee table? Looks like a production line heater or cooking flame. Any tags or markings?

The previous owner told me she bought it at a crafts festival and that it was hand made by the seller.

Right, too fancy to be industrial, too light to be commercial, possibly from a parlor stove or maybe even fireplace andirons.

I'd love to see more pictures of this beauty, like straight down and close up of the fittings around the outside.

And they are the perfect height for a coffee table! A bathtub would have legs that are far too short.

Thanks Shel, it appears he fabricated an upside down box from sheet stock, and added the legs. Then he added various fittings/shapes/findings around the periphery to make it interesting.

Well I think it's ugly and an insult to your refined NJ culture, so you should ship it to me immediately to save yourself embarrassment. :yesnod:
