I made mine up as a replacement when I left my former user ID/SCA persona/sci fi badge name/TERRIBLE (and well-earned) reputation in Seattle. Have yet to see it co-opted, but don't really care if it is. This place is like 70% of my internet footprint right now--I have no basefook, twitter, instagrump, etc. I maintain that social networks are for social people, and I am not a social people.
