Oh yeah, if anybody actually associated childbirth and sex, nobody would have sex again after the first kid! It's be very bad from a species-survivial standpoint.

juju 06-04-2003 08:22 PM

Is that what causes the supposed drop-off of sexual activity after the first year or two of marriage?

Undertoad 06-04-2003 08:40 PM

No.

juju 06-04-2003 08:45 PM

You strive for brevity, don't you?

misery loving company and all that..........

and yeah! if i'm not getting first year sex, why the hell should you?!?!?

Whit 06-06-2003 12:16 AM

I thought it was familiarity that caused the drop off in sexual activity... I mean knowing someone well is enough to make you not want to sleep with them... Or maybe I'm just being cynical, again.

juju 06-06-2003 12:29 AM

Well, hey, *I* wish happiness and good feelings on ALL my friends.

juju 06-06-2003 12:30 AM

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. I was just trying to be a smartass. :)

Not for the creative.

Whit 06-06-2003 04:21 PM

Not for the creative? Why? Because the creative can find interesting new ways to confuse the spouse enough to not be understood? While coming up with new excuses for the spouse?
I'm a firm believer that familiarity breeds contempt. A review of the "old days" when marriages lasted suggested that men drank a lot and women took other domestic drugs. Let's not forget, secrataries and mailmen worked great for variety. Not to sound cynical or anything.
