I use Outlook heavily and IE as well, and still...zero problems. My machine is the bastard child of a dishwasher and a clock radio, and the only component in it newer than three years old is my secondary (non-boot) HD.

Files being copied or downloaded into a folder no longer just "appear" -- file explorer has to be refreshed manually, it seems, following SP2. Annoying. :mad2:

Reinstalled SP2 tonight...had to reboot again after the initial reboot, but so far so good.

After things initially went smoothly during the last go-round, I started having problems with Windows Update. So, I did a system restore and tried to download/reinstall SP2 again...and encountered more problems. I've tried this several times now, but I just can't seem to get SP2 to install properly.

If anyone in the Philadelphia area can assist me in person with this monstrosity, I would greatly appreciate it...please PM me. I can't pay you a lot for your services, but I'll give what I can...and I'll bring it to your location.

Email the guy whose name I gave you for the cheap computer. He fixes them too.
