I've had ostrich a couple of times at restaurants, never bothered to get any for home use. It's pretty good. As far as "unusual meats" go, however, I prefer buffalo.

Also available at Whole Foods. I like to use it for my spaghetti sauce.

I had ostrich carpaccio once. It was delicious. With lingonberry sauce.
