okay, this isn't do it yourself so much.. but DAMN! what's up with these English people!?!?

LONDON (Reuters) - A British woman was sentenced to two and a half years in jail Thursday for ripping off her ex-lover's testicle with her bare hands during a drunken brawl after he refused her sex.

Amanda Monti, 24, flew into a rage in May last year after Geoffrey Jones, 37, who had ended their long-term relationship, rejected her advances.

She grabbed him by the genitals, tearing off his left testicle, then hid it in her mouth before a friend of Jones handed it back to him saying "that's yours."

Monti, of Birkenhead, near Liverpool, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding at an earlier hearing.

ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch

Let me get this straight:
He was an ex-boyfriend.
He didn't want to have sex with her.
But he must have been naked in her presence for her to be able to do that.

I'm just trying to visualize how that happend. Unless he was passed out when she did it, I can't make sense of it.

was he wearing a kilt???

thinking this one through... i know that you can pop a testicle loose, but to actually remove it from the body would mean that the skin is torn or cut. that would have to be one extremely brutal tug to rip the skin from the body. and if there were people around who talked her into giving up the nut instead of chewing on it awhile longer, couldn't have caught her before she was able to yank it completely free of the body? this just smells fishy.

well.. A friend of mine teaches self-defense classes (mainly for the bartenders in downtown Lawrence), I asked him about it, and it only takes 30 pounds of pressure to rip a persons testicles off, skin.. plumbing.. the whole kit-and-kaboodle..

although.. yeah, he must have been naked.. or wearing a kilt

note to self. don't piss off ex-girlfriends whilst either naked with them OR (on the odd chance wearing a kilt w/out protective underwear.

You know...I'm thinking that the fact this female was wacky enough to have done this is pretty much defacto proof that the guy made a good decision in not wanting to have anything further to do with her, huh?

But failed in the implementation byu allowing himself to be caught as he was.

I call bullshit. I know for a fact that it is possible to suspend more weight than that from one's testicles. Even to the point of suspending oneself from one's respective testicles. I have the video proof. No, I will not post it but if you ask nicely, I will email it to you.

A downward jerk is going to be a lot more pressure than hanging a weight though, maybe the guy got his units messed up.

kinda frightening that you know that. yes, you can support more weight than that, however.. that same amount of pressure applied with force will achieve the desired effect. really I wouldn't lie about something like that, other things... sure.

Here's more info from the Guardian on how, exactly, it happened:

Testicle torn off by ex-lover

Press Association
Wednesday January 12, 2005
The Guardian

A jilted woman admitted ripping off her ex-lover's testicle with her hands after he refused to have sex with her.
Amanda Monti, 24, flew into a rage after her former boyfriend, Geoffrey Jones, 37, rejected her advances at the end of a drunken house party. She yanked off his left testicle, which was later handed to him by a friend with the words: "That's yours."

Monti, of Birkenhead, Merseyside, pleaded guilty to wounding at Liverpool crown court yesterday and will be sentenced next month.

The court heard that Mr Jones had ended his long-term relationship with Monti towards the end of May last year. The pair remained on good terms and on May 30, Monti drove him to a party and then home again, where friends joined them for more drinks.

Monti told Mr Jones she wanted to discuss their relationship and offered him sex. When he refused, she grabbed his face and a struggle ensued.

Mr Jones threw Monti out of the house. She then smashed a window. Another struggle took place and Monti was knocked to the floor, from where she pulled down Mr Jones's shorts.

Monti initially tried to hide the testicle by putting it in her mouth, but released it. Doctors were unable to reattach the organ.

Wendy Lloyd, defending, said her client did not remember much of the struggle. But she accepted the prosecution's version of events and did not claim to have acted in self-defence.
