Hmmmm, makes one wonder if any people were in those cars, you know napping and waking to find themselves trapped?

wolf 02-05-2005 01:06 AM

I have had to bust my way out of my car after a drive home in a sleet storm. Lots easier than busting in. You got good leverage busting out. Busting in sometimes results in cracking the doorhandles off the car.

These pictures are now being sent around in email titled "hey, look at the ice storm in massachussets!"

Of course all of the pics have "lakegeneva" in their filenames.

xoxoxoBruce 03-02-2005 07:12 PM

Isn't there a Lake Geneva in NY, also? :)

Griff 03-02-2005 07:32 PM

Geneva, NY is on Seneca Lake, nice place to ride a bike.

wolf 03-03-2005 01:26 AM

It's in Wisconsin.

Leus 03-03-2005 05:15 AM

Thanks for the pictures, they compensate for the 96.8 degrees down here last friday... (mere 92 yesterday, thought)

Elspode 03-03-2005 10:42 AM

You'd think all that ice weight would flatten the tires...

Emrikol 03-04-2005 11:33 PM

Well, I think there might be an answere at snopes

xoxoxoBruce 03-06-2005 12:04 PM

You're right Emrikol. I'd seen the pictures before where they were clearly labeled Switzerland. I was just wondering if the Geneva name fooled someone into thinking this was part of the northeast blizzard. :)

wolf 03-06-2005 01:21 PM

Most of the people passing around the Mass Snowstorm pics are dumb enough not to look at the names of the photos. Those rare souls who do won't bother trying to figure out what the title might mean.

Psssst....aol ;)
