I'm not quite sure why a photo of a compost heap is an important inclusion, though....

Lastly, The Harley Davidson shop:

Is that entire parking lot for one single cafe? That's a lot of space!
So...how did Box Hill get its name, then? |

Believe me - it gets filled to capacity Sundays and especially during the summer as the area is popular with bikers, walkers and cyclists. It's quite civilised now but was just a rough ground car park for some time. I'll try to get you a Sunday shot that confirms that. I found this to keep you going in the meantime... ( and then this via a link from the previous 'this' - should keep you occupied for a while....in fact I might not need to get any more photos myself after this one off that link...) Box Hill gets its named from the trees that grew (grow?) in abundance there. Here's a link to the site that the UK National Trust have for it. I've also added Ryka's cafe to the map...: |
So...how do you feel about Colonists crashing your place while on holiday?
Unfortunately, Google Earth doesn't have hi-rez of your area, and the aerial shot/map translucent overlay shot, while better, isn't quite good enough to be precisely sure where you're at, but it looks pretty damn keen. You're just immediately SE of the intersection of Lee Green Lane and Tilley Lane? |

And as we say over here, "I'll bring the beer!"
