Rock the Boat by the Hues Corporation. I had this song in my head almost all day. I'm glad I don't anymore.

So, this lady from a satellite campus keeps calling me. She's a bozo, but that's neither here nor there. Her name is Mary M---(I won't post her last name, of course.) It's not Moon but that's the song that starts in my head every single time her name comes up on my phone.

Shawnee123 04-14-2010 11:49 AM

QUIT TALKING ABOUT WHAT SONGS ARE STUCK IN YOUR HEAD.

Nirvana 04-14-2010 12:10 PM

No!
The theme from the Rifleman is stuck in my head!

lumberjim 06-26-2010 02:58 PM

Urbane Guerrilla 06-26-2010 11:22 PM

dmg1969 07-06-2010 03:17 PM

Lamplighter 07-07-2010 12:47 PM

First time for Garden as well. I heard Here comes the Sun when Harrison died

Griff 07-09-2010 06:26 AM

Harrison was my favorite Beetle.

classicman 07-09-2010 07:32 AM

Shawnee123 07-09-2010 07:56 AM

Griff 07-09-2010 07:57 AM

No thank you very much.

robsterman1 07-13-2010 11:13 PM

"Stuck In the Middle With You" by Stealers Wheel...that tune's so catchy and definitely hard to get out of my head

Gravdigr 07-14-2010 04:10 PM

The video kinda sucks, but, the tune is downright contagious.

They're from Bowling Green, KY, about fifteen minutes up the road.

Not sure if the link above is gonna work, I keep getting "an error ocurred, try again later".

xoxoxoBruce 07-14-2010 04:17 PM

I have it on very good authority, the song stuck in your head is echolalia. :D

Shawnee123 07-14-2010 07:22 PM

Echolalia...I repeat, I mean, I remember it well. :)

Youtube apparently needs you to enable third-party cookies now. :(

At least that fixed my YouTube embedding errors.

Anybody else notice the Pepsi-Cola jingle (the original jingle) fits "Gaudeamus Igitur?"

Pepsi Co-la hits the spot --
Twelve full ounces, that's a lot

Cloud 08-10-2010 12:59 PM

"I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas.

Catchy. At least the first few score times!

This is the first day of my life
I swear I was born right in the doorway
I went out in the rain suddenly everything changed
They're spreading blankets on the beach

Yours is the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
Now I don’t know where I am
I don’t know where I’ve been
But I know where I want to go

And so I thought I’d let you know
That these things take forever
I especially am slow
But I realize that I need you
And I wondered if I could come home

Remember the time you drove all night
Just to meet me in the morning
And I thought it was strange you said everything changed
You felt as if you'd just woke up
And you said “this is the first day of my life
I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you
But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides maybe this time is different
I mean I really think you like me

skysidhe 11-12-2010 01:22 PM

This week I have had a couple of songs stuck in my head. These were obscure songs I have not heard in years, yet there they were.

I wish I could remember, yet if really tried to remember they would come back to haunt me. I really don't want that.

I wonder where they come from? Those songs in your head. Not the ones you heard yesterday, but ones you haven't heard since 1970's.:)

Gravdigr 11-12-2010 01:54 PM

Can't remember what the commercial is for, but:

"I got a brand new pair of roller skates
You got a brand new key"

Gravdigr 11-12-2010 01:57 PM

Hell, I could've just looked it up the first time:

jimhelm 11-18-2010 03:01 PM

I seem to be experiencing a totally ghey chick music phase
I LOVE this though.

skysidhe 11-18-2010 09:11 PM

Here, share my pain. ( This is the song! It's evilllll...)

The cartoon is an added bonus. I can't believe someone took the time to do that.
hehe the comments about it on youtube are funny.

fo0hzy 11-20-2010 02:31 AM

I thought I was losing my mind last year when this one got stuck in muh head for weeks

jimhelm 01-30-2012 10:07 AM

just the mumbling part is stuck. I like it. i'm annoying everyone around me, though.

huh nuh nuh nuhnnuh nuh nuhhnu nuh nuh nuh, repeat.

Gravdigr 01-30-2012 04:09 PM

God, I hate this song.

footfootfoot 01-30-2012 05:06 PM

red rubber ball

Gravdigr 01-30-2012 05:10 PM

Big blue note

Blueflare 03-08-2012 01:03 PM

Friends of mine posted this on Facebook, so we could mock it, and now it is going round and round in my head. It's the worst thing ever.

Undertoad 03-08-2012 01:15 PM

I'm not sorry I watched it. That is hilarious! And so is the fact that it's stuck in your head.

This is one of those things where it's tragedy if it happens to you, comedy if it happens to someone else.

jimhelm 03-08-2012 01:20 PM

is that a...... polka?

jimhelm 03-08-2012 01:22 PM

maybe this will help erase it from your heid, blue

bluecuracao 03-08-2012 01:25 PM

Here, this will cure what ails ya. The lovely, relaxing version of Rebel Rebel from The Life Aquatic that is on regular rotation at one of my neighborhood bars. I heard it Tuesday night...and I'm still hearing it...

wolf 03-08-2012 01:36 PM

I infected myself with "One Lonely Night" last week. It was ... oh shit. Now I've gone and done it again.

Undertoad 03-08-2012 01:56 PM

"Jamie's Crying" by Van Halen.

I hate myself when I hear it, too, it's one of those things. It's not that I hate Van Halen, but "Jamie's Crying" always sends me into this weird loop where I try to figure out whether the song is vaguely mysogynistic, or totally mysogynistic.

Gravdigr 03-08-2012 02:12 PM

Seen this commercial?

The "somebody left the gate open" part sticks in my head and repeats, over, and, over, and, over...

Here's the actual tune:
