you are? that's the funniest thing. ......oh dear, i must be old.....

Ok, can't be bothered with the eyeliner very often these days, but when i do...... the jacket and leather mini are relegated to a closet in the basement though as keepsakes. The only person who wore more black eyeliner than me was beest!

♫ Getting to know you. Getting to know all about you. ♫
How do you feel about show tunes?

I think that we don't really get to know each other in this virtual space.

monster 02-18-2013 09:55 PM

with names like beest snd monster you thought we were the epitome of 2.4 children? You know my hair is purple red and blue, right?

Pete Zicato 02-18-2013 10:01 PM

Yabbut I know a soccer mom with a stripe in her hair and business men with tattoos, so the purple hair didn't mean anything to me 'til now.

Pete Zicato 02-18-2013 10:02 PM

BTW, your typing is improving.

monster 02-18-2013 10:46 PM

I was a soccer mom. now I'm a swim/polo/hockey mom. You won't meet a more conservative crowd than hockey parents

Hmmmm. How do we characterize our fellow dwellars in musical terms?

That should be a thread.

DanaC 02-19-2013 04:34 AM

I definitely see Monster with doc martens...

monster 02-19-2013 07:01 AM

Beest had the Docs. Now I'm chattering in the thread and clagging it up I will respond furtherin post whore thread if necessary.

I don't get it?

glatt 02-19-2013 08:22 AM

You know. Math.

Counting in binary, base ten, duodecimal, etc...

10 could really mean 500 if you are counting in the correct base.

infinite monkey 02-19-2013 08:26 AM

I still don't get it. I mean I get base ten...but I'm not really sure how it applies here.

However, I am not committed and I am incompentent...so there's that.

DanaC 02-19-2013 08:50 AM

And y'know, self aware to boot :p

monster 02-19-2013 08:56 AM

When you count in base ten, a 1 in the second column from the right means ten -like the same number of fingers and toes most people are born with. But when you count in base twenty, it means twenty, i.e. twice that many. when you count in base sixteen, it means the number of limbs the Beatles had. etc

infinite monkey 02-19-2013 08:59 AM

monster was just preempting a cheater who might submit 50 names and claim that it was 10 names and he was only counting in base 50.

I'll have to compete with only 3 names this year. I'm too out of the loop and over whelmed by things to come up with more names.

Grav, I think the word you are looking for is "nubile"

It's not just coincidental that the Thesarus example of the use of the word is:

Quote:

nubile
adjective
tempted by Frankie's nubile girlfriend
sexually mature; sexually attractive, desirable,
sexy, luscious; marriageable; informal beddable.

Ocean's Edge 04-10-2013 11:37 AM

informal beddable? is there a FORMAL form?

Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee
Lousy with virginity
Won't go to bed 'til I'm legally wed
I can't; I'm Sandra Dee

Watch it! Hey I'm Doris Day
I was not brought up that way
Won't come across,
Even Rock Hudson lost
His heart to Doris Day

I don't drink (no)
Or swear (no)
I don't rat my hair (eew)
I get ill from one cigarette
(cough, cough, cough)
Keep your filthy paws
Off my silky draws
Would you pull that crap with Annette?

As for you Troy Donahue,
I know what you wanna do
You got your crust
