Today's progress in moving house brought to you by loud anguished primal screams (won't be able to do that in the middle of a village) and grim determination.

Stiff upper lip. Keep calm and carry on. You'll be chuffed to the muff soon. Mind the gap at the ferry. :haha:
It'll be done before you know it and probably half the things you're worrying about happening, won't.

Is that what that was?:o

Serenity, now.

A new dawn has er.... dawned, I suppose.

I trust that all is well this morning after your hectic Saturday?

limey 02-10-2019 06:46 AM

We're not there yet ... Today's progress in moving house brought to you by abandonment. Currently waiting for the ferry at Lochranza to leave Arran. Exhausted, filthy, beyond caring. Car stuffed with seemingly random stuff. Man with van left with unfeasibly vast quantities of stuff to cram in when he follows later this week. And we're moving to a fully furnished house. Anyone would think I haven't given it any thought at all and am just bringing everything we own. Where are we going to put it all? I think I have a plan.

We grow old too fast worrying about shit that could happen but doesn't. I realize it's different for married women because no matter what happens to "them", it's her fault. ;)

Are you going to be renting the Arran cottage as a long term lease or holiday cottage or undecided yet?

Congrats, by the way, you made it.... :)

Congrats, by the way, you made it.... :)

Long term let. There's mucho demando for that there and it's easier to manage (and cheaper to set up). But off you're looking for a holiday rental on Arran I'm happy to advise.

Today's progress in moving house brought to you by taking a breather. Though we did go and fetch the CATS! So a relatively quiet day of gentle unpacking of the few bits we brought while Annie wandered about getting the measure of the place and Cydnie hid in a corner for some time. She’s begun to wander about, too. Must get a cat flap fitted ASAP.

Cat flap is a good idea that way the neighbors cats can come check you out. You know they're dying of curiosity.;)

Today's progress in moving house brought to you by community effort. Five boat trips, two electric buggies, ands many hands. Horse now bulging with boxes and furniture randomly stacked astound the place.
Sadly not all the stuff fitted in the van so a second batch will arrive in a couple of weeks. That means I can shake this lot into place first though.

Eventually you'll have everything unpacked. I'm sure you're looking forward to having no boxes.

Pretty much. Sunday roast dinner in the oven, two cats snoozing as though they’d never lived anywhere else. Just three boxes to unpack, though not everything is in its final place in the house.

Keep three boxes packed and display the contents in rotation, it'll drive your neighbors nuts when their gossip doesn't match.
