As for the third choice:

When I read of glatt's son's good news, I realized I did not know of UMW and looked it up.
It sounds like a very nice institution and one worth considering.
One possible plus is that in 2006-2007, its President was a man named William Frawley.
Now it is dropped.

People probably just expected more, when the term "connection" was used, than that a former university president (who was fired for repeated DUIs) coincidentally had the same name as the well known actor (who died 40 years earlier) who played on I Love Lucy. That was an extremely loose association like we might find in the Word Association threads.
