One of my favorite movies, and even after having read the book.

You know, I've not seen it. I read the book too, but haven't seen the movie. (have been to Hemingway's house and his favorite bar in Key West too!)

Have you seen Captains Courageous? It's wonderful!

On Capt C, I don't think I've seen it... but this may just be a senior moment.

The book came out in the early 50's and my favorite aunt gave me a copy. It's still on my bookshelf.

In a different thread I've described the situation for my grandson.
We got him to read this book when things were bad, and it "took".
He started reading again and things have improved ever since.
