Kewl

Gravdigr 08-22-2015 01:04 PM

Don't know why, have no use for it whatsoever...I want one.

xoxoxoBruce 08-22-2015 02:42 PM

And here comes Beetle Bomb...

xoxoxoBruce 08-23-2015 12:57 AM

Being young and foolish, I was there. Wasn't until years later I could watch on TV, with my fat ass in an easy chair, and see more of the action. This clip shows about as much racing(but more variety), as I could see from the infield. :haha:

Pressie for the boys :P

I'd definitely go for any of those real ladies, all of whom show off great personalities; and none of the models because models are by design going to be stuck-up entitled cunts. (But that's post age-20s wisdom)

ETA Buzzfeed did it for the headline, of course.

DanaC 08-23-2015 09:39 AM

Oh, I figured most of the Cellar blokes would get a kick out the real* ladies in their swimsuits, that's why I posted it :P Perfection makes for a particular kind of beauty - it's like art, it's good to look at. There are other kinds of beauty - and what attracts us is a whole different story.

* I should qualify that: because behind each of those glamour shots is a real, breathing, thinking woman. But we all know that the models themselves generally don't look like that. Their every imperfection has been ironed out, through make-up and photo shop. It is an ideal only achievable for a moment, with a great deal of in-time and post-shoot intervention.

xoxoxoBruce 08-23-2015 10:13 AM

They certainly all have appeal. :hugnkiss:

I think it's a mistake to try to recreate and hold an exact pose because when models are doing it, they are constantly moving around while the photographer is taking hundreds, perhaps thousands, of pictures. The "pose" is just an instant in time that lasted a fraction of a second.

How did they get the ladder set up? How will they take it down? It's not remotely stable without that rope from above.

fargon 08-25-2015 08:04 AM

There is NO FUCKING WAY, that I am getting on that ladder.

Gravdigr 08-25-2015 02:41 PM

The stupidity of that ladder is staggering. Why not just abseil from the roof on the rope? It's much closer to where the work, whatever he's doing, needs to be done. Hell, I've lopped limbs from above on a rope. You don't even have to worry about the limb knocking your ladder from under ya.
