What would you think about the world after 44 years in prison?

xoxoxoBruce 03-09-2016 04:09 PM

Only go out when it rains.

Clipped nails, brushed coat
And he don't know where he’s goin' to.
New collar, no leash
He don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can jog
'Cause every bitch crazy 'bout a two nosed dog.

That dog has two noses!

xoxoxoBruce 03-26-2016 10:49 AM

Looks like it but only two nostrils, so it's like a cleft nose.

This is such a sweet video. A young BBC apprentice, with aspergers, interviewing Chris Eccleston who is currently in a 6 part series about a family with an autistic son. He plays the not always very tactful or understanding grandad. The interviewer does a great job - he's a natural for tv.

Taking down a tree...

glatt 03-30-2016 08:18 AM

Excellent. He makes it look so easy. I know that's his skill showing.

Gravdigr 03-30-2016 02:12 PM

I liked the pulley/brake set up. I just roped 'em and let them down by hand. Of course, I cut smaller pieces.:D

And the customer paid dearly for that shit.

Also, I wasn't no 120+ damn feet in the air.

Looks like a dead tree, too.

Rule for continuing to stay alive: Don't climb dead trees.

If I have a 52-foot bucket, somebody else can climb it, I don't need it.

Gravdigr 03-30-2016 02:15 PM

Another thing:

When I climbed, I never, never, got used to the trunk moving after ya cut a big limb.

Highest I ever climbed was about 60 feet, and that was just to cut out a widowmaker.

glatt 03-30-2016 02:24 PM

Yeah, seeing him grabbing for his rope to feel just a little more secure after he makes enough of the cut, but before the limb lets go. One time, he swiped for the rope and missed it so swiped again with a little more urgency. Can't see how holding on to a loose rope would make you feel secure, but whatever it takes.

I love it that I can see that footage without having to be the one doing it.

Yes, he's working above a three way crotch where dead trees love to split. For safety, he's roped to the branch the cameraman is perched on. The falling cut-offs are also tied to that branch, if that splits they are both fucked. That three way crotch is what Lamplighter had. When the first broke it took out his roof, months later the second came very close to taking out him.

This look like a fun toy/tool. the drawbacks I see are it's probably expensive and it's electric.

Wanna go very very fast?
